Dervock Destroyers claimed a vital win on the pool tables against their championship challengers Rack ‘n’ Rollers in last week’s Ballymoney Pool League clash. The two sides are fierce rivals, with Dervock having ended up runners up to Rack ‘n’ Rollers in both of the previous two league seasons, with a play-off needed to separate the two sides last year. West Asian Championships pool title claimed by Hani Al Howri

The United Arab Emirates have enjoyed success in the latest West Asian Championships, held in Fujiarah, thanks to the victory by one of the nation’s stars of the pool tables – Hani Al Howri. The player secured the triumph for the UAE with a 9-4 win over his rival, Ahmad Al Jalaad from Jordan, in the final to claim the 8-ball singles pool title.

Brierley Hill Pool and Snooker ‘A’ had Ashley Sidaway to thank as they eased their way to victory over Kinver Constitutional ‘A’ in their Stourbridge and District League Cup third round match.
